Where your writing comes into its own.

Stylistic editing bridges the gap between a good story and publication-ready prose. Your narrative may already work at the structural level — the plot holds together, the characters are compelling, the world is vivid. Stylistic Line Editing takes what you've built and sharpens it sentence by sentence: smoothing rhythm, clarifying voice, tightening dialogue, eliminating repetition, and ensuring every line earns its place. Your voice stays intact — we're here to enhance it, not replace it.

01

Submit your manuscript

Send us your completed draft. Stylistic Line Editing works best after you've addressed any major structural issues — if you're unsure, consider starting with the Editorial Review.

02

Line-by-line read and edit

Your editor works through the entire manuscript sentence by sentence, noting rhythm, tone, clarity, and flow issues with specific observations and suggested approaches for each.

03

Receive your editorial report

You receive a detailed report with findings and guidance for every section of your manuscript. Because feedback is delivered as a report rather than inline changes, you remain fully in control of each revision decision.

Answers before you start.

How is stylistic editing different from copy editing?

Stylistic editing addresses craft — how your sentences read, whether your rhythm matches your tone, whether your voice is consistent. Copy editing addresses correctness — grammar, punctuation, spelling, and internal consistency. They're complementary but distinct stages. Stylistic comes first.

Will you change my writing style?

No. We identify where your prose can be stronger, clearer, or more effective — but every suggestion preserves what makes your voice distinctively yours. You review and apply every change yourself.

Should I have a structural edit first?

Generally yes. Line editing is most valuable after the story-level structure is solid. If plot, character, or pacing issues remain, they may require moving or cutting passages — which means line-editing that prose is wasted work. Consider the Editorial Review first if you're uncertain.
